The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin. Mim. 1 Those are the verses of the clear Book. 2 Wouldst thou, perhaps, torment thyself to death [with grief] because they [who live around thee] refuse to believe [in it]? 3 If We willed, We could send down to them from the sky a sign for which their necks would remain humbled. 4 Whenever there comes to them any fresh warning from the Merciful, they always turn their backs on it: 5 Surely they have done with denying; soon will come to them the news of what they were laughing at. 6 Have they not seen the earth, how much of every fruitful kind We make to grow therein? 7 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them will not accept faith. 8 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
