(Recount to them about the time) when Your Lord called Moses: "Go to the wrong-doing people, 10 the nation of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Me' 11 He said, "My Lord, indeed I fear that they will deny me 12 And that my breast will tighten and my tongue will not be fluent, so send for Aaron. 13 "And (further), they have a charge of crime against me; and I fear they may slay me." 14 (It was) said: "By no means. Go with My signs, both of you. I am verily with you and I hear. 15 And go, both of you, unto Pharaoh and say, 'Behold, we bear a message from the Sustainer of all the worlds: 16 that you let the Children of Israel go with us.'" 17 Pharaoh said: "Did we not bring you up among us when you were a child? 18 Yet you committed the deed you did, surely you are one of the ingrates." 19 He (Moses) replied: 'Indeed, I did that when I was among those who stray. 20 “I therefore went away from you as I feared you – so my Lord commanded me and appointed me as one of the Noble Messengers.” 21 And is it a favor of which you remind me that you have enslaved the children of Israel? 22 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "And what is the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)?" 23 He said, 'The Lord of the heavens and earth, and what between them is, if you have faith.' 24 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Do you not hear (what he says)?" 25 (Moses continued): "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers before you." 26 Said he: Most surely your Apostle who is sent to you is mad. 27 [But Moses] went on: "[He of whom I speak is] the Sustainer of the east and the west and of all that is between the two - as you would know]" if you would but use your reason!" 28 Fir'awn said: if thou wilt take a god other than me, I shall surely place thee among the prisoners. 29 Said Moosa, “Even if I bring to you something clear?” 30 Said he, 'Bring it then, if thou art of the truthful.' 31 So [Musa (Moses)] threw his stick, and behold, it was a serpent, manifest. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo, it looked white to the beholders. 33
