And [mention] when your Lord called Moses, [saying], "Go to the wrongdoing people - 10 The people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh). Will they not fear Allah and become righteous?" 11 'My Lord' he replied, 'I fear they will belie me 12 and "my breast is straitened and my tongue is not fluent; so send Aaron as well; 13 Moreover, they keep a grave charge [pending] against me, and I fear that they will slay me." 14 Said He, 'No indeed; but go, both of you, with Our signs, and We assuredly shall be with you, listening. 15 So go ye twain unto Fir'awn and say: verily we are the apostles of the Lord of the Worlds, 16 let the Children of Israel go with us!'" 17 [Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life? 18 and you did the deed which you did. You are certainly ungrateful." 19 Said Moosa, “I did that at a time when I was unaware of the consequences.” (In anger – See verse 28:15) 20 so I fled from you, fearing you. But my Lord gave me Judgment and made me one of the Envoys. 21 And this is the favor with which you oblige me: You have made the Israelites your slaves. 22 Pharaoh said: "And who is this Lord of the Universe?" 23 Musa (Moses) said: "Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, if you seek to be convinced with certainty." 24 Said he to those about him, 'Do you not hear?' 25 (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers from the beginning!" 26 (The Pharaoh) said (to his nobles): "Your apostle who has been sent to you, is certainly mad." 27 Musa (Moses) said: "Lord of the east and the west, and all that is between them, if you did but understand!" 28 Pharaoh said: "If you take any god other than me, I will certainly make you one of those (who are rotting) in prison." 29 (Moses) said: "Even though I have brought to you something convincing?" 30 The Pharaoh replied, "Bring it, if you are telling the truth." 31 So he cast down his rod, and lo! it was an obvious serpent, 32 Then he drew out his hand, and it was luminous to the onlookers. 33
