And (remember) when your Lord said to Moosa, “Go to the unjust people.” 10 the people of Pharaoh, will they not fear God? 11 : He said: "O Lord, I fear that they will deny me. 12 "My breast will be straitened. And my speech may not go (smoothly): so send unto Aaron. 13 “And they have an accusation against me, so I fear that they may kill me.” 14 Said He: "Not so, indeed! Go forth, then, both of you, with Our messages: verily, We shall be with you, listening [to your call]! 15 Go to the Pharaoh and tell him: 'We bring a message from the Lord of all the worlds 16 That you should send the children of Israel with us.' 17 (Pharaoh) said: "Did we not cherish thee as a child among us, and didst thou not stay in our midst many years of thy life? 18 And yet thou didst commit that [heinous] deed of thine, and [hast thus shown that] thou art one of the ingrate!" 19 Replied [Moses]: "I committed it while I was still going astray; 20 “I therefore went away from you as I feared you – so my Lord commanded me and appointed me as one of the Noble Messengers.” 21 And is this a favor of which you remind me - that you have enslaved the Children of Israel?" 22 Pharaoh said: "And who is this Lord of the Universe?" 23 'He' (Moses) replied: 'is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if you believe' 24 Fir'awn said unto those around him: hear ye not? 25 Said Moosa, “Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers preceding you.” 26 (The Pharaoh) said (to his nobles): "Your apostle who has been sent to you, is certainly mad." 27 Musa (Moses) said: "Lord of the east and the west, and all that is between them, if you did but understand!" 28 Said [Pharaoh]: "Indeed, if thou choose to worship any deity other than me, I shall most certainly throw thee into prison! 29 He said: Even though I show thee something plain? 30 Said he, 'Bring it then, if thou art of the truthful.' 31 Then he flung down his staff and it became a serpent manifest, 32 And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! 33
