And when your Lord called out to Musa, saying: Go to the unjust people, 10 The people of Firon: Will they not guard (against evil)? 11 He said, "My Lord, indeed I fear that they will deny me 12 My breast is constricted and my tongue is not fluent, so endow Messengership on Aaron. 13 As for me, they hold the charge of a crime against me. I fear they will put me to death." 14 He said: 'Never so, go both of you with Our signs; We shall be with you, listening 15 And go, both of you, unto Pharaoh and say, 'Behold, we bear a message from the Sustainer of all the worlds: 16 let the Children of Israel go with us!'" 17 The Pharaoh said, "Did we not bring you up in our home as an infant and did you not live with us for many years 18 Yet you were ungrateful and have done the deed you did' 19 Moses replied, "I did that when I was one of the misguided, 20 Then I ran away from you in fear, but my Lord granted me the law and has appointed me as a Messenger. 21 And this is the favour with which you taunt me -- that you have enslaved the Children of Israel?" 22 Pharaoh said: "And who is this Lord of the Universe?" 23 He said: The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, if you would be sure. 24 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Do you not hear (what he says)?" 25 (Moses continued): "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers before you." 26 (Pharaoh) said: "Truly your messenger who has been sent to you is a veritable madman!" 27 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the East and the Lord of the West and all that lies between them, if you have sense." 28 (The Pharaoh) said: "If you took another god apart from me I will have you incarcerated." 29 Moses asked, "What if I were to bring you clear proof (of the existence of God)?" 30 (The Pharaoh) said: "Then bring it, if you speak the truth." 31 So Moosa put down his staff and it became a visible serpent. 32 And he drew forth his hand and lo! it was white to the beholders. 33
