۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 And Pharaoh sent forth heralds to all the cities. 53 Most surely these are a small company; 54 who have certainly provoked our wrath. 55 we are a large and watchful force." 56 Then We drave them forth from gardens and springs. 57 And from treasures and nice houses. 58 Thus it was: but [in the course of time] We were to bestow all these [things] as a heritage on the children of Israel. 59 So they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two hosts came in view of each other, Moses' companions said: 'We have been reached' 61 Moses replied: "By no means. My Lord is with me. He will show me the way." 62 Then We revealed to Moses, 'Strike with thy staff the sea'; and it clave, and each part was as a mighty mount. 63 And We caused the pursuers to draw near unto that place: 64 And We saved Musa (Moses) and all those with him. 65 then We drowned the others. 66 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 67 Verily your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 68
