۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 Then Pharaoh sent among the cities gatherers 53 saying: "These (Israelites) are only a small band of people 54 And verily they have enraged us. 55 And lo! we are a ready host. 56 As such We expelled them from their gardens and their fountains, 57 And treasures and goodly dwellings, 58 Even so. And We caused the Children of Isra'il to inherit them. 59 So they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two hosts saw each other, the companions of Musa (Moses) said: "We are sure to be overtaken." 61 Moses replied: "By no means. My Lord is with me. He will show me the way." 62 We sent a revelation to Moses saying, "Strike the sea with your staff." The sea was rent asunder and each side stood high up like a huge mountain. 63 Then We brought the others to that place. 64 We delivered Moses and all who were with him; 65 Then drowned the others. 66 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 67 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 68
