The people of Nuh rejected the apostles. 105 When their brother Noah said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 106 I am a trustworthy messenger for you: 107 fear God, and obey me. 108 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being; 109 So fear God and follow me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we place our faith in thee, even though [only] the most abject [of people] follow thee?" 111 He said: And what knowledge have I of what they do? 112 Their account falls only upon My Lord, if you were but aware. 113 I am certainly not one to drive away the believers. 114 'I am naught but a plain warner.' 115 They said: If you desist not, O Nuh, you shall most certainly be of those stoned to death. 116 He prayed: "O Lord, verily my people accuse me of lies. 117 So adjudge between me and them conclusively, and save me and the believers who are with me." 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the loaded ark, 119 and then We caused those who stayed behind to drown. 120 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not believers. 121 And thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
