The people of Noah cried lies to the Envoys 105 When their brother Nuh said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 106 I am a trustworthy messenger for you: 107 fear God, and obey me. 108 I ask no recompense of you for it. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: Shall we believe in you while the meanest follow you? 111 Said he: "And what knowledge could I have as to what they were doing [before they came to me]? 112 If only you would realize, their account is with my Lord. 113 I would not drive away the believers; 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said: If you desist not, O Nuh, you shall most certainly be of those stoned to death. 116 [Whereupon] he prayed: "O my Sustainer! Behold, my people have given me the lie: 117 Therefor judge Thou between us, a (conclusive) judgment, and save me and those believers who are with me. 118 Wherefore We delivered him and those with him in the laden ark. 119 and drowned the rest. 120 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 121 surely your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 122
