The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 span class="col">Their brother Noah asked them, "Why do you not fear God? 106 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 107 so fear Allah and obey me. 108 For this I ask of you no wage, for my wage falls only on the Lord of the Worlds. 109 "So keep your duty to Allah, fear Him and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: shall We believe in thee when the meanest follow thee? 111 He said: I have no knowledge of that which they have been Working. 112 My Lord alone can bring them to account, if only you could understand, 113 I am certainly not one to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a clear warner." 115 They said, "Noah, if you do not desist, you will be stoned." 116 He said: "My Lord! My people have branded me a liar. 117 Therefore judge You between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me." 118 So We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. 119 then afterwards We drowned the rest. 120 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not believers. 121 And indeed your Lord, only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
