The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 When their brother Noah said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 So fear Allah and obey me. 108 And I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds: 109 "So fear Allah, and obey me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we accept you even though it is the meanest of people who follow you?" 111 He said: I have no knowledge of that which they have been Working. 112 “Indeed their account is only upon my Lord, if you perceive.” 113 And I am not (here) to repulse believers. 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said: "If thou desist not, O Noah! thou shalt be stoned (to death)." 116 He prayed: "O Lord, verily my people accuse me of lies. 117 therefore, judge decisively between me and them; and save me and the believers who are with me." 118 So We saved him, and those who were with him in the laden ark, 119 Then after it, We drowned the rest. 120 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 121 And thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
