The people of Nooh denied the Noble Messengers. 105 When their brother Nuh said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 106 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust: 107 fear God, and obey me. 108 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 109 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 110 ۞ They said: "Should we place our trust in you when only the condemned follow you?" 111 He said: "And what do I know as to what they do? 112 Their reckoning rests with none but my Sustainer: if you could but understand [this]! 113 And I am not (here) to repulse believers. 114 I am only a clear warner' 115 'Noah' they replied, 'if you do not desist you shall be of those stoned' 116 He said: "My Lord! Verily, my people have belied me. 117 hence, lay Thou wide open the truth between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me!" 118 So We delivered him and those with him, in the Ark filled (with all creatures). 119 then afterwards We drowned the rest. 120 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 122
