The people of Noah gave the lie to the Messengers. 105 span class="col">Their brother Noah asked them, "Why do you not fear God? 106 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 107 So be fearful of God and listen to me. 108 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 109 "So fear Allah, and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: shall We believe in thee when the meanest follow thee? 111 Said he: "And what knowledge could I have as to what they were doing [before they came to me]? 112 It is only for my Lord to take account of them. Would that you made use of your understanding! 113 I would not drive away the believers; 114 I am only a plain warner. 115 They said: if thou desistest not, thou shalt surely be of those stoned. 116 [Whereupon] he prayed: "O my Sustainer! Behold, my people have given me the lie: 117 "Judge Thou, then, between me and them openly, and deliver me and those of the Believers who are with me." 118 And We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. 119 Then We drowned the rest thereafter. 120 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 121 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 122
