The 'Aad belied the sent ones. 123 When their brother Hud said unto them: fear ye not? 124 I am a trustworthy Messengers sent to you. 125 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 126 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists). 127 "Will you, in your wanton folly, build [idolatrous] altars on every height, 128 And do you take to yourselves underground reservoirs, in order to live for ever! 129 When you lay hands upon anyone, you do so as tyrants. 130 So fear Allah and obey me. 131 fear Him who has aided you with all that you know -- 132 He has given you cattle, children, 133 “And with gardens and water-springs.” 134 'Indeed, I fear for you the chastisement of a dreadful day.' 135 They replied: "It is all the same for us whether you admonish us or not. 136 This [religion of ours] is none other than that to which our forebears clung, 137 They rejected him and We destroyed them. 138 Eventually they gave the lie to him and We destroyed them. Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 139 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 140

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
