The people of Lut denied the Noble Messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 161 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 I do not ask any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 164 What! Of all creatures do ye come unto the males, 165 leaving aside those whom Allah has created for you as your mates. Nay, you are a people that has transgressed all limits." 166 'Lot' they replied, 'if you do not desist, you shall be thrown out' 167 He said, "I certainly hate what you practice. 168 “My Lord, rescue me and my family from their deeds.” 169 So We delivered him and his followers all, 170 Except one old woman, who stayed behind. 171 then We destroyed the others, 172 And We showered a rain upon them; so what a wretched rain for those who were warned! 173 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 174 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 175
