The people of the Wood too called the messengers liars. 176 When Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 177 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 I ask of you no recompense for this; my reward is only with the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ "Give full measure, and cause no loss (to others). 181 And weigh with a balance straight. 182 "And defraud not people by reducing their things, nor do evil, making corruption and mischief in the land. 183 and have fear of Him Who created you and the earlier generations." 184 They said: "You are only one of those bewitched! 185 You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars. 186 So cause a fragment of the sky to fall on us, if you are truthful." 187 He. said: My Lord is the Best Knower of that which ye work. 188 But they rejected him. Then the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom seized them, and that was the Penalty of a Great Day. 189 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 191
