The dwellers of the thicket gave the lie to the apostles. 176 When Shu'aib said to them: "Will you not take heed? 177 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust. 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 I ask of you no recompense for this; my reward is only with the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and cause no loss to others. 181 And weigh (things) with a right balance, 182 And defraud not people of their things, and commit not corruption on the earth. 183 Fear He who created you, and the generations of the ancient' 184 They said: "Surely you are deluded. 185 And you are naught but a mortal like ourselves, and we know you to be certainly of the liars. 186 Then drop down on us lumps from heaven, if thou art one of the truthful.' 187 He said, “My Lord is Well Aware of what you do.” 188 But they cried him lies; then there seized them the chastisement of the Day of Shadow; assuredly it was the chastisement of a dreadful day. 189 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 190 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 191
