Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif Lam Mim 1 The revelation of this Book free of doubt and involution is from the Lord of all the worlds. 2 Or say they: He hath invented it? Nay, but it is the Truth from thy Lord, that thou mayst warn a folk to whom no warner came before thee, that haply they may walk aright. 3 God is the one who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six days, then He established His dominion over the Throne. No one besides Him is your guardian or intercessor. Will you then not take heed? 4 He regulates the affair from the heaven to the earth; then shall it ascend to Him in a day the measure of which is a thousand years of what you count. 5 Such is the Knower of the unseen and the visible, the Powerful, the Merciful, 6 who has created all things well. And He originated the creation of man out of clay, 7 Then He made his seed from a draught of despised fluid; 8 then He duly proportioned him, and breathed into him of His spirit, and bestowed upon you ears and eyes and hearts. And yet, little thanks do you give. 9 They say: “Shall we be created afresh after we have become lost in the earth?” Nay, the fact is that they deny that they will meet their Lord. 10 ۞ (Muhammad), say, "The angel of death, who is appointed over everyone of you, will cause you to die and to your Lord you will all return." 11
