Indeed this is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe; 192 the Faithful Spirit has brought it down 193 To thy heart and mind, that thou mayest admonish. 194 It has been revealed in plain Arabic. 195 Truly, it is in the Books of the ancients. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 Had We revealed it to any of the non-Arabs, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 This is how We have made (the habit of) denying embedded in the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 The torment will strike them suddenly without their knowledge. 202 and then they will exclaim, "Could we have a respite?" 203 What! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment? 204 Tell Me, if We do let them enjoy for years, 205 and then what they were promised comes to them, 206 So of what benefit will be the comforts that they were using? 207 Never have We destroyed a town without sending down messengers to warn it, 208 for a reminder, and We never harmed. 209 And the satans have not brought it down. 210 neither are they worthy of it, nor are they capable of it, 211 Indeed they have been removed far from even (a chance of) hearing it. 212 So call thou not upon another god with God, lest thou shouldst be one of those that are chastised. 213 And warn thou thy clan, the nearest ones. 214 And lower thou thy wing unto those who follow thee as believers. 215 If they disobey you, tell them, "I condemn your disobedient deeds". 216 Have trust in the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 Who sees you (O Muhammad SAW) when you stand up (alone at night for Tahajjud prayers). 218 And thy movements among those who fall prostrate. 219 for, verily, He alone is all-hearing, all-knowing! 220 [And] shall I tell you upon whom it is that those evil spirits descend? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 Who give ear, and most of them are liars. 223 And as to the poets, those who go astray follow them. 224 Observest thou not, that they wander about every vale. 225 and preaching what they themselves never practice. 226 The righteously striving believers among them who remember God very often and use their talent to seek help after they have been wronged are the exceptional. The unjust will soon know how terrible their end will be. 227
