Truly it is the revelation of the Lord of all Being, 192 Which the True Spirit hath brought down 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 And most surely the same is in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 (But such is their adamance) that had We revealed it to one of the non-Arabs and even if he had recited (this clear Arabic discourse) to them 198 In order that he read it to them, even then they would not have believed in it. 199 This is how We have made (the habit of) denying embedded in the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares, 202 Then they will say: Shall we be respited? 203 Do they really want Our chastisement to be expedited? 204 Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years 205 And then there cometh unto them that which they had been promised. 206 (How) that wherewith they were contented naught availeth them? 207 And We did not destroy any town but it had (its) warners, 208 As a reminder; and never have We been unjust. 209 The satans did not bring down this (Clear Book), 210 It behoveth them not, nor they can. 211 The satans are barred from listening to anything from the heavens. 212 So call not on any other god with Allah, or thou wilt be among those under the Penalty. 213 And warn [whomever thou canst reach, beginning with] thy kinsfolk, 214 and be kind to your believing followers. 215 If they disobey you, say: 'I am quit of what you do' 216 And put your trust in Him Who is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate, 217 Who seeth thee standing forth (in prayer), 218 And your movement among those who prostrate. 219 Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you (O people!) upon whom the Shayatin (devils) descend? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 They listen eagerly, but most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, only those who go astray follow them. 224 Do you not see that they wander about in every valley 225 and how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). 227
