And those who disbelieve say, "When we have become dust as well as our forefathers, will we indeed be brought out [of the graves]? 67 We were told about this and so were our forefathers before us. But these are no more than fairy tales that have been recounted from ancient times." 68 Say: "Go ye through the earth and see what has been the end of those guilty (of sin)." 69 Do not be sorry for them, nor be distressed for what they devise. 70 Yet they say: "When will this promise come to pass? (Tell Us) if you speak the truth." 71 Say, "Perhaps some of the things which you wish to experience immediately are very close to you." 72 Verily your Lord is gracious to men, though most men are ungrateful. 73 And indeed your Lord knows what is hidden in their bosoms, and what they disclose. 74 And there is nothing concealed within the heaven and the earth except that it is in a clear Register. 75 Verily this Qur'an doth explain to the Children of Israel most of the matters in which they disagree. 76 It is a guide and mercy for the believers. 77 Surely your Lord will judge between them by his judgment, and He is the Mighty, the knowing. 78 So you place your trust in God. Certainly you stand on positive truth. 79 You cannot make the dead hear, nor can you make the deaf hear your call, when they turn their backs on it, 80 nor can you direct the blind to the Right Way, preventing them from falling into error. You can make only those who believe in Our verses to hear the call and then submit. 81 ۞ When God's word is justly carried out against them, We will produce a dabbah from the earth which will tell them that mankind had no real faith in Our signs. 82
