And so, they who are bent on denying the truth are saying: "What! After we have become dust - we and our forefathers - shall we [all,] forsooth, be brought forth [from the dead]? 67 We have certainly been promised this, we and our fathers before; these are naught but stories of the ancients 68 Say: Travel in the earth, then see how was the end of the guilty. 69 (O Prophet), do not grieve over them, nor be distressed at their designs. 70 And they say: when will this Promise be fufilled if ye say sooth? 71 Say: Maybe there may have drawn near to you somewhat of that which you seek to hasten on. 72 And verily thine Lord is full of grace for mankind, but most of them give not thanks. 73 And most surely your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they manifest. 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven or the earth but it is in a clear Record. 75 Indeed this Qur'an explains to the children of Israel much of what they are at variance. 76 It is a guidance and a mercy to believers. 77 Verily, your Lord will decide between them (various sects) by His Judgement. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. 78 So rely upon Allah; indeed, you are upon the clear truth. 79 Indeed the dead* do not listen to your call nor do the deaf* listen to your call, when they flee turning back. (The dead and deaf implies the disbelievers.) 80 Nor do you guide the blind out of their error, nor do you make any to hear, except those who believe in Our verses and are Muslims. 81 ۞ And when the Word (promise) appears upon them, We shall bring forth for them a beast from the earth to speak to them – because the people were not accepting faith in Our signs. (This beast will rise from the earth, when the Last Day draws near.) 82
