The unbelievers say: "When we become dust, we and our forefathers, shall we really be brought out (from our graves)? 67 “Indeed this promise was given to us, and before us to our forefathers – this is nothing but stories of former people.” 68 Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Travel in the land and see the nature of the sequel for the guilty! 69 And grieve thou not over them nor be straitened because of that which they plot. 70 And they ask: 'When will this promise come, if what you say is true' 71 Say, "Perhaps it is close behind you - some of that for which you are impatient. 72 Lo! thy Lord is full of bounty for mankind, but most of them do not give thanks. 73 Verily your Lord knows all that their hearts conceal as well as all that they reveal. 74 And all the hidden secrets of the heavens and the earth are (written) in a clear Book. (The Preserved Tablet) 75 BEHOLD, this Qur'an explains to the children of Israel most [of that] whereon they hold divergent views; 76 And it certainly is a Guide and a Mercy to those who believe. 77 Surely your Lord will judge between them by his judgment, and He is the Mighty, the knowing. 78 So put your trust in Allah; surely, you (O Muhammad SAW) are on manifest truth. 79 Verily, you cannot make the dead to hear (i.e. benefit them and similarly the disbelievers), nor can you make the deaf to hear the call, when they flee, turning their backs. 80 Nor canst thou lead the blind out of their error. Thou canst make none hear save these who believe in Our signs and who have submitted themselves. 81 ۞ And when the word is fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth to speak unto them because mankind had not faith in Our revelations. 82
