Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
AlifLaamMeem. 1 These are the verses of the Wise Book, 2 a guidance and mercy for the doers of good, 3 people who are steadfast in prayer, pay the religious tax, and have firm belief in the life to come. 4 It is they who are on true guidance from their Lord, and it is they who shall prosper. 5 And some people buy words of play, in order to mislead from Allah’s path, without knowledge; and to make it an article of mockery; for them is a disgraceful punishment. 6 When Our revelations are recited to them, they turn back on their heels out of pride as if they did not hear them or their ears had been sealed off. Warn them of the painful torment. 7 The righteously striving believers will enter Paradise 8 In which they will abide; it is a true promise of Allah; and only He is the Almighty, the Wise. 9 He created the heavens without pillars that you see and cast on the earth firm mountains lest it should shake with you. Upon it He dispersed all manner of crawling thing, and He sent down water from the sky with which He caused to grow in it every generous kind. 10 [All] this is God's creation: show Me, then, what others than He may have created! Nay, but the evildoers are obviously lost in error! 11
