Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Stars (Al-Najm). Sent down in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
