Have you not seen that God has subjugated what is in the heavens and the earth to you, and bestowed His favours, external and esoteric, in abundance on you? And yet there are men who contend about God without any knowledge or guidance or the Book enlightening. 20 And when it is said to them, "Follow what Allah has revealed," they say, "Rather, we will follow that upon which we found our fathers." Even if Satan was inviting them to the punishment of the Blaze? 21 ۞ He who turns his face to God in submission and does good, holds fast to a handle that is strong; for the resultance of things rests with God. 22 But if any reject the Faith, let not his rejection grieve you: for to Us they shall return, and We shall tell them the truth about their deeds: for God knows well all that is in the human hearts -- 23 We give to them a little enjoyment for awhile, and then will compel them to a tremendous punishment. 24 If you were to ask them: “Who created the heavens and the earth?” they will certainly reply: “Allah.” Say: “All praise and thanks be to Allah.” Yet most of them do not know. 25 To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and earth. Indeed, Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy. 26 And if whatever trees there are on the earth were pens, and the sea were ink with seven more seas to help it, the words of Allah could not be exhausted; verily Allah is Mighty, Wise. 27 Neither your creation nor your raising is anything but as a single soul; surely Allah is Hearing, Seeing. 28 Observest thou not that Allah plungeth the night into the day and plungeth the day into the night and hath subjected the sun and the moon, each running unto an appointed term, and that Allah is of that which ye work Aware. 29 That is because God is the Truth, and what they call upon besides Him is falsehood. God is the Most High, the Supreme One. 30
