Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 The revelation of the Book is, without doubt, from the Lord Of The Creation. 2 Or say they: He hath invented it? Nay, but it is the Truth from thy Lord, that thou mayst warn a folk to whom no warner came before thee, that haply they may walk aright. 3 It is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two, in six days, and then He established Himself on the Throne. You have no guardian or intercessor other than He. Will you, then, not take heed? 4 He disposeth every affair from the heaven unto the earth; thereafter it shall ascend unto Him in a Day the measure whereof is one thousand years of that which ye compute. 5 This is the All Knowing – of all the hidden and the visible, the Most Honourable, the Most Merciful. 6 Who hath made everything exceeding good which He hath created. And He originated the creation of man from clay. 7 then He made his progeny from an extract of a humble fluid. 8 Then He made him complete and breathed into him of His spirit, and made for you the ears and the eyes and the hearts; little is it that you give thanks. 9 And they say: "What! when we lie, hidden and lost, in the earth, shall we indeed be in a Creation renewed? Nay, they deny the Meeting with their Lord. 10 ۞ Say, "The Angel of Death who has been given charge of you will gather in your souls. Then you will [all] be returned to your Lord." 11
