O Prophet! Tell thy wives and thy daughters, as well as all [other] believing women, that they should draw over themselves some of their outer garments [when in public]: this will be more conducive to their being recognized [as decent women] and not annoyed. But [withal,] God is indeed much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace! 59 ۞ If the hypocrites and those who have tainted hearts and the scandal mongers of Madinah do not desist, We shall surely give you authority over them and their days in that city will be numbered. 60 They shall be cursed from all around and they shall be ruthlessly killed wherever they are seized. 61 That was the Way of Allah in the case of those who passed away of old, and you will not find any change in the Way of Allah. 62 The people will ask you about the Hour. Say: 'The knowledge of it is with Allah alone, what makes you to know that the Hour is near' 63 Allah has indeed cursed the disbelievers, and has kept prepared for them a blazing fire. 64 Abiders therein they shall be forever, and they shall find neither a protecting friend nor a helper. 65 On the Day when their faces are turned over in the Fire, they shall say: "Oh, would that we had obeyed God, and obeyed the Messenger!" 66 They will say: “Our Lord, we obeyed our chiefs and our great ones, and they turned us away from the Right Way. 67 Our Lord, give them double punishment and curse them with a mighty curse." 68
