Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

۞ Have We not expanded for you your breast, 1 And taken off from you your burden, 2 Which pressed heavily upon your back, 3 Have We not raised your remembrance? 4 So, verily, with every difficulty, there is relief: 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 So, when you are free, strive hard, 7 and let thy Lord be thy Quest. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
