۞ Say to them, "I exhort you to do one thing: and that is to stand up before God in pairs, or singly, and then reflect. You will thus realize that your companion is not afflicted with madness. He is only a warner, warning you of an impending severe chastisement." 46 Say: "No reward do I ask of you: it is (all) in your interest: my reward is only due from Allah: And He is witness to all things." 47 Say, "Indeed, my Lord projects the truth. Knower of the unseen." 48 Say: "The truth has come, and falsehood had neither precedence nor will reappear." 49 Say: "Were I to go astray, I would but go astray [due to my own self, and] to the hurt of myself; but if I am on the right path, it is but by virtue of what my Sustainer reveals unto me: for, verily, He is all-hearing, ever-near!" 50 Couldst thou but see when they are terrified with no escape, and are seized from near at hand, 51 and then they will say, "We have faith in the Quran." How can they have any faith when they are far away from this world. 52 since they disbelieved in it before, guessing at the Unseen from a distant place? 53 And a barrier will be set between them and that which they desire [i.e. At-Taubah (turning to Allah in repentance) and the accepting of Faith etc.], as was done in the past with the people of their kind. Verily, they have been in grave doubt. 54
