A Sign for them is the earth that is dead: We do give it life, and produce grain therefrom, of which ye do eat. 33 And We place therein gardens of the date-palms and vines; and We therein cause to gush forth springs. 34 that they might eat of its fruits and their hands' labour. What, will they not be thankful? 35 Hallowed be He who hath created all the pairs of that which the earth groweth, and of themselves and of that which they know not! 36 And a sign unto them is the night. We draw off the day therefrom, and lo! they are darkened. 37 And [they have a sign in] the sun: it runs in an orbit of its own [and] that is laid down by the will of the Almighty, the All-Knowing; 38 We have determined the stations of the moon, so that (after its wanderings) it returns as a dried up inflorescent spike of dates. 39 It behoves not the sun to overtake the moon, neither does the night outstrip the day, each swimming in a sky. 40 And an Ayah (sign) for them is that We bore their offspring in the laden ship [of Nuh (Noah)]. 41 And We have created for them the like of it, what they will ride on. 42 We could have drowned them if We pleased, and none would have answered their cry for help, nor would they have been saved, 43 Except by way of Mercy from Us, and by way of (world) convenience (to serve them) for a time. 44 And [yet,] when they are told, "Beware of [God's insight into] all that lies open before you and all that is hidden from you, so that you might be graced with His mercy," [most men choose to remain deaf;] 45 and whenever a revelation out of their Lord's revelations comes to them, they ignore it. 46 And when it is said to them: 'Spend of that which Allah has given you' the unbelievers say to the believers: 'Are we to feed those whom Allah can feed if He chooses? Surely, you are only in clear error' 47 They also say, 'When shall this promise come to pass, if you speak truly?' 48 They await not but one shout, which shall lay hold of them while they are yet wrangling. 49 And they will not be able to make a disposition, nor to their family they return. 50
