Let the dead earth be a Sign for them. We gave it life and produced from it grain whereof they eat. 33 And We produce therein orchard with date-palms and vines, and We cause springs to gush forth therein: 34 so that they may eat its fruit, though it was not their hands that made this. Will they not then be grateful? 35 All glory to Him who created pairs of everything that grows from the earth, and out of themselves, and other things they do not know. 36 And [of Our sway over all that exists] they have a sign in the night: We withdraw from it the [light of] day - and lo! they are in darkness. 37 And the sun -- it runs to a fixed resting-place; that is the ordaining of the All-mighty, the All-knowing. 38 And the moon -- We have determined it by stations, till it returns like an aged palm-bough. 39 Neither is it allowable to the sun that it should overtake the moon, nor can the night outstrip the day; and all float on in a sphere. 40 And a sign for them is that We carried their offspring in the laden Ark (of Noah). 41 We have created for them the like of it in which they ride. 42 And if We will, We drown them, and there is no help for them, neither can they be saved; 43 except through Our Mercy and as enjoyment for awhile. 44 And when it is said to them, 'Fear what is before you and what is behind you; haply you will find mercy' -- 45 Yet there never comes to them any sign of their Lord's signs, but they turn away from it. 46 And when they are told, "Spend ye of (the bounties) with which Allah has provided you," the Unbelievers say to those who believe: "Shall we then feed those whom, if Allah had so willed, He would have fed, (Himself)? Ye are in nothing but manifest error." 47 They say, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?" 48 They do not await except one blast which will seize them while they are disputing. 49 then they will not be able to make any testament, nor will they return to their people. 50
