The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 Then those who drive away with reproof, 2 And those who recite the message, 3 Verily, verily, your Allah is one!- 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 We have indeed adorned the lowest heaven with stars as ornaments. 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 These satans cannot listen to what transpires in the High Council for they are pelted away from every side 8 Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. 9 Except one who sometimes steals a part, so a blazing flame goes after him. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 You marvel (at the wondrous creations of Allah) and they scoff at it, 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 When they are shown a sign, they scoff at it 14 and say: "This is clearly nothing but [a mortal's] spellbinding eloquence! 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 And so also shall our forefathers of yore be raised to life?” 17 Say: 'Yes, but worthless' 18 It shall be but one shout, lo! they shall be staring. 19 They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!" 20 This is the Day of Judgment which ye were wont to belie. 21
