The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 And those who undo the bonds gently, 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 While eyes are downcast 9 They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]? 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 But only, it will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e., the second blowing of the Trumpet)]. (See Verse 37:19). 13 and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. 17 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- 18 [If so,] then I shall guide thee towards [a cognition of] thy Sustainer, so that [henceforth] thou wilt stand in awe [of Him].'" 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 and hastily turned away, 22 And assembled (his council) and proclaimed, 23 “I am the supreme lord of you all.” 24 you pay attention 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26
