In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows). 1 Then those who drive away with reproof, 2 and conveying [to all the world] a reminder: 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – and the Lord of the sun’s rising points. 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 they cannot overhear the Higher Assembly for they are pelted from every side, 8 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, 9 But if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge], he shall be pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 Nay! you wonder while they mock, 12 And when they are reminded, they mind not, 13 When they see a sign, they laugh at it, 14 and say: 'This is nothing but clear sorcery' 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 And so also shall our forefathers of yore be raised to life?” 17 Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)." 18 It shall be but one shout, lo! they shall be staring. 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 This is the Day of Separation, which ye used to deny. 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
