The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages] ranged in serried ranks, 1 And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof 2 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, 3 Verily your God is One, 4 the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, and the Sustainer of all the points of sunrise! 5 Verily We! We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment: the stars. 6 And to protect it from every rebellious devil. 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly, and they are darted at from every side. 8 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, 9 Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. 10 So, ask those who deny the truth if it was harder to create them than all the other things We have created? We created them from sticky clay. 11 But you wonder, while they mock, 12 When they are reminded, they do not pay heed, 13 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 16 And our fathers too?" 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 It will be but one Shout, then see, they are watching 19 and they say, 'Woe, alas for us! This is the Day of Doom.' 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
