The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those who range themselves in rows; 1 And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun! 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 (For beauty) and for guard against all obstinate rebellious evil spirits, 7 they listen not to the High Council, for they are pelted from every side, 8 and driven away to suffer the necessary torment. 9 but if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge,] he is [henceforth] pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of firm clay. 11 You marvel (at the wondrous creations of Allah) and they scoff at it, 12 and when they are admonished, they pay no heed; 13 When they are shown a sign, they scoff at it 14 and they say, 'This is nothing but manifest sorcery. 15 When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised (again)? 16 And our forefathers [as well]?" 17 Proclaim, “Yes, and with disgrace.” 18 There will be but a single blast and then their eyes will open. 19 And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital. 20 This is the day of the judgment which you called a lie. 21
