In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those who range themselves in rows; 1 By the angels driving away. 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 surely your God is One, 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, and the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have decked the lower heavens with stars 6 And (there is) a safeguard against every rebellious Shaitan. 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly, and they are darted at from every side. 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. 10 So ask them if they are more difficult to create, or the rest We have created? Indeed (man) We created from fermented clay. 11 Aye! thou marvellest, and they scoff. 12 And when they are warned they pay no heed. 13 and when they become aware of a [divine] message, they turn it to ridicule 14 And they say: Lo! this is mere magic; 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 16 What, and our forefathers, the ancients' 17 Say: Aye! and you shall be abject. 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 'This is the Day of Decision, even that you cried lies to. 21
