۞ [And God will thus command:] "Assemble all those who were bent on evildoing, together with others of their ilk and [with] all that they were wont to worship 22 other than Allah, and guide them to the Path of Hell! 23 And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned." 24 What aileth you that ye help not one another? 25 Nay! on that Day they will be entirely submissive. 26 And they will turn to one another and question one another. 27 They shall say: Surely you used to come to us from the right side. 28 They will say, "No! It was you who would not believe -- 29 We had no power over you. In fact, you were a people rebellious. 30 The sentence of our Lord has come true for us. We have certainly to taste (the punishment), 31 So we led you astray; we ourselves were strayed.” 32 Therefore, on that Day they will all share Our punishment. 33 Certainly, that is how We deal with Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, the disobedient to Allah, etc.). 34 Indeed, when it was said to them, “There is no God except Allah”, they were haughty. 35 and said: “Shall we forsake our deities for the sake of a distracted poet?” 36 Not in the least. He has brought the truth and confirmed the other messengers. 37 (They will be told): “You shall taste the grievous chastisement. 38 You will only be recompensed according to your deeds.” 39 But the sincere servants of God 40 [in the hereafter,] theirs shall be a sustenance which they will recognize 41 Fruits. And they will be honoured 42 (They will live) in the bountiful gardens, 43 On couches facing one another; 44 A bowl shall be made to go round them from water running out of springs, 45 White and delicious to the drinkers; 46 No bad effect is there in it, nor from it will they be intoxicated. 47 And with them will be maidens (houris) who restrain their wide glances 48 (Pure) as they were hidden eggs (of the ostrich). 49 Then they will turn to one another and question one another. 50 Said one of the speakers: "I had a friend 51 who used to ask, 'Do you really believe that 52 After we are dead and have become all dust and bones shall we still be requited?' 53 He saith: Will ye look? 54 He will look down and see him in hell. 55 He saith: By Allah, thou verily didst all but cause my ruin, 56 But for my Lord's blessing, I were one of the arraigned. 57 What then, shall we not die 58 except for our first death, and are we not chastised? 59 Surely this is the supreme triumph. 60 For the like of this, then, let them labour, those who labour [in God's way]! 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 which We have made as a test for the wrongdoers. 63 Surely it is a tree that-grows in the bottom of the hell; 64 The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of Shayatin (devils); 65 and they eat of it, and of it fill their bellies, 66 then on top of it they have a brew of boiling water, 67 Then their return will be to the same blazing Hell. 68 for, behold, they found their forebears on a wrong way, 69 So they (too) made haste to follow in their footsteps! 70 And assuredly many of the ancients went astray before them, 71 But We sent aforetime, among them, (messengers) to admonish them;- 72 Then see the nature of the consequence for those warned, 73 Save the bondmen of Allah sincere. 74

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
