۞ But We shall say, "Assemble those who did wrong together with their associates and what they worshipped 22 apart from God, and guide them unto the path of Hell! 23 And halt them, to be questioned: 24 How is it that you are not helping one another? 25 Nay! on that Day they will be entirely submissive. 26 They will then turn towards each other (and start wrangling). 27 They will say, "Indeed, you used to come at us from the right." 28 They will say: "No, you were the ones who would not believe. 29 we had no power over you; but you yourselves were a rebellious people. 30 So the word of our Lord has come into effect upon us; indeed, we will taste [punishment]. 31 And we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators." 32 So verily on that Day they all in the torment will be sharers. 33 Thus do We treat the culprits. 34 For they, when they were told that there is no god except Allah, would puff themselves up with Pride, 35 And they used to say, “Shall we forsake our Gods upon the sayings of a mad poet?” 36 In fact, he had brought them the truth and had acknowledged the Messengers (who were sent before him). 37 Verily ye are going to taste a torment afflictive. 38 And you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do - 39 Save single-minded slaves of Allah; 40 For them there will be a known provision (in Paradise). 41 as the fruits [of their life on earth]; and honoured shall they be 42 in the Gardens of Bliss 43 sitting face to face upon couches, 44 A bowl shall be made to go round them from water running out of springs, 45 Clear, delicious to drink, 46 causing no headiness or intoxication. 47 And with them are those who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, the maidens with gorgeous eyes. 48 who are as chaste as sheltered eggs. 49 Then some of them will turn to others, and will ask each other. 50 The speaker among them said, “I had a companion.” – 51 Who said: art thou of those who confess to the doctrine of Resurrection: 52 After we are dead and have become all dust and bones shall we still be requited?' 53 Do you want to see him?' " 54 So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He said: "By Allah! thou wast little short of bringing me to perdition! 56 But for the Favor of Allah I should have surely been among those who were arraigned (with you in Hell). 57 He will ask his companion, "Did you not say that there would only be one death 58 "Except our first death, and that we shall not be punished?" 59 Indeed, this is the mighty victory, 60 For the like of this let all strive, who wish to strive. 61 Is such [a paradise] the better welcome - or the [hellish] tree of deadly fruit? 62 which We have made as a torment for the unjust? 63 Verily, it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-fire, 64 its fruit [as repulsive] as satans' heads; 65 Then most surely they shall eat of it and fill (their) bellies with it. 66 And thereafter verily they shall have thereon a draught of boiling water. 67 Then most surely their return shall be to hell. 68 Verily they found their fathers gone astray. 69 But they make haste (to follow) in their footsteps. 70 And certainly most of the ancients went astray before them, 71 But We sent aforetime, among them, (messengers) to admonish them;- 72 Then see how was the end of those warned, 73 Except the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, and true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 74
