1/2 Hizb 45

۞ Gather together those who did wrong and their comrades and that which they were wont to worship 22 besides God, and lead them to the path of the Fire; 23 and stop them there for questioning: 24 They will be asked, "Why do you not help each other?" 25 Nay, but that day they shall submit (to Judgment); 26 And some of them shall advance towards others, questioning each other. 27 They will say: verily ye! ye were wont to come unto us Imposing. 28 Others will respond, "It was you who did not want to have any faith. 29 Moreover, we had no power at all over you: nay, you were people filled with overweening arrogance! 30 "So now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins). 31 We mislead you and we ourselves had also gone astray." 32 On that day they will all share the torment. 33 This is how We deal with the criminals. 34 Indeed, when it was said to them, “There is no God except Allah”, they were haughty. 35 and would say: "Shall we, then, give up our deities at the bidding of a mad poet?" 36 Nay, but he brought the Truth, and he confirmed those sent (before him). 37 You will indeed taste a painful punishment, 38 and be rewarded only according to your deeds." 39 Save the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 40 Those will have a provision determined - 41 Fruits (Delights); and they (shall enjoy) honour and dignity, 42 In Gardens of peace. 43 On thrones, facing each other. 44 a cup filled with wine from its springs, will be passed around to them; 45 White, delicious to those who drink. 46 but not harmful or intoxicating. 47 And with them maidens of modest look and large lustrous eyes, 48 Like sheltered eggs in a nest. 49 And they will all turn to one another, asking each other [about their past lives]. 50 one of them will say, "I had a friend, 51 who was wont to ask [me,] 'Why - art thou really one of those who believe it to be true 52 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then be certainly brought to judgment? 53 Do you want to see him?' " 54 Then he will look and see him in the midst of the Fire. 55 And he will say: by Allah, thou hadst wellnigh causedest me to perish. 56 Had it not been for the grace of my Lord I too would have been there (in Hell). 57 What then, shall we not die 58 "Except our first death, and that we shall not be punished?" 59 Lo! this is the supreme triumph. 60 for which one must strive hard. 61 Is such [a paradise] the better welcome - or the [hellish] tree of deadly fruit? 62 We have indeed made that a punishment for the unjust. 63 It is a tree that grows in the nethermost part of Hell. 64 its fruit [as repulsive] as satans' heads; 65 And indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their bellies. 66 Then they will have on top of it a mixture of boiling water. 67 And afterward, lo! their return is surely unto hell. 68 They found their fathers in error, 69 So they hastened [to follow] in their footsteps. 70 Before them a multitude of people of olden times had erred, 71 although, verily, We had sent warners unto them: 72 Then see the nature of the consequence for those warned, 73 Except the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah. 74
