3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 And left (his name) for posterity. 78 Peace be unto Noah among the peoples! 79 That is how We recompense the righteous: 80 he was one of Our believing worshipers. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars, 88 Then he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these). 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 the while it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They exclaimed: "Build a pyre for him, and cast him into the blazing fire!" 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 And [one day,] when [the child] had become old enough to share in his [father's] endeavours, the latter said: "O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice thee: consider, then, what would be thy view!" [Ishmael] answered: "O my father! Do as thou art bidden: thou wilt find me, if God so wills, among those who are patient in adversity!" 102 Then when the twain had submitted themselves and he had prostrated him upon his temple. 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113
