3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 When he came to his Lord with a free heart, 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 Then he glanced a glance on the stars. 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 [But] then the others came towards him hurriedly [and accused him of his deed]. 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 We called to him, "Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a tremendous sacrifice, 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaq, a Herald of the Hidden, from among those who deserve Our proximity. 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113
