3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 And, his progeny, them We made the survivors (i.e. Shem, Ham and Japheth). 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 Then he looked carefully at the stars 88 and said: 'Surely, I am sick (of what you worship)' 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out? 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 And they devised a plot for him, but We made them the humble. 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 [And he prayed:] "O my Sustainer! Bestow upon me the gift of [a son who shall be] one of the righteous!" 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 Verily he was one of Our believing bondmen. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 And We blessed him, and Isaac; and of their seed some are good-doers, and some manifest self-wrongers. 113
