Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 and the severally severing 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 excusing or warning, 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 and place it in a secure place 21 Till a limit known? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
