The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 And those who drive [the clouds] 2 By the angels reciting the praise. 3 Indeed, your God is One, 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them; the Lord of the Easts. 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, 8 Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty, 9 Except those who eavesdrop and are pursued by a shooting flame. 10 Then inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay. 11 Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule, 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 and whenever they see some sign, they ridicule it, 14 And they say: Lo! this is mere magic; 15 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, how can we be raised again, 16 And our fathers too?" 17 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated." 18 There will only be a single jerk, and they will gape, 19 and they say, 'Woe, alas for us! This is the Day of Doom.' 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
