3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed, [it was for this reason that] Noah cried unto Us - and how excellent was Our response: 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 "Behold!" he said to his father and to his people, "What are these that you worship? 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 Then he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these). 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 And Allah has created you and what you make. 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 And they devised a plot for him, but We made them the humble. 98 And he said: "I am going away to my Lord who will show me the way. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 That is how We reward those who do good. 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaq, a Herald of the Hidden, from among those who deserve Our proximity. 112 We blessed him and Isaac: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls. 113
