We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
