Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And by oath of the soul that reproaches itself. 2 Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 asking [derisively,] "When is that Resurrection Day to be?" 6 But when sight is confounded 7 and the moon is darkened, 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to? 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 To man will be declared on that Day that which he hath sent on and left behind. 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 Whatever the excuses he may offer. 15 (O Prophet), do not stir your tongue hastily (to commit the Revelation to memory). 16 Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility. 17 And so when We recite it, follow its recitation attentively; 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 And neglect the hereafter. 21 (Some) faces on that day shall be bright, 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 and upon that day faces shall be scowling, 24 knowing that a crushing calamity is about to befall them. 25 But, when (the soul) reaches the collar bone 26 And there will be a cry, "Who is a magician (to restore him)?" 27 the while he [himself] knows that this is the parting, 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 To your Lord on that day shall be the driving. 30
