We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 and at night. Do you still not understand? 138
